PRIVACY POLICY

Personal data is carefully processed and secured by us. We stick to the requirements imposed in that regard by the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). Impex Barneveld B.V. is responsible for data processing on the website. Because our data processing is covered by the statutory exemption regulations, they are not registered with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Dutch DPA). In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect and use, and for what purposes.

This privacy statement was last amended on 28 May 2018.

Recording and processing data

When you use our website, certain details may be left behind on it. This can include personal data. You can provide personal data to us either actively or passively. Data that is provided actively is information that you fill in yourself on the website or for instance send to us by e-mail. In addition, the website can automatically store information, sometimes without you being aware of it. In that case, the data has been provided passively. This privacy statement tells you precisely what actively and passively provided data is processed and for what purposes.
Data that is no longer required will be deleted. You have the right to ask to see and correct or delete your data. Please refer to the contact details at the bottom of this privacy statement for this. To prevent misuse and/or fraud, we may then ask you to provide appropriate identification.

Information requests

If you request information or a quotation from us, we store the data that is required in order to handle your request for information or an offer. We use that data to contact you and follow up your request for information.

E-mail

If you complete a contact form on the website or send us an e-mail, then the data you send to us will be retained for as long as is necessary (depending on the type of form or the content of your e-mail) to answer or deal with it in full.

Providing data to third parties

We do not pass on the data you provide to us to any third party unless this is necessary in the context of an agreement that you enter into with us, or if we are legally obliged to do so. In cases of suspected fraud or misuse of our website, we may also pass on personal data to the competent authorities.

Newsletter

We have a newsletter in which we want to keep people who are interested informed about our products, services and related matters. Your e-mail address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your express permission. On top of that, every newsletter contains a link that you can use to unsubscribe. The list of newsletter subscribers will not be provided to third parties.

Data security

We use appropriate security procedures, for instance to prevent unauthorised parties from accessing personal data.

Clicking behaviour and visit details

General data about visits to the website is retained. In this context, the IP address of your computer can be recorded, along with any username, the time of the query and details provided by the user’s browser, and used for statistical analyses of visitor and clicking behaviour on the website. We attempt to anonymise this data as much as possible. We do not pass this data on to third parties.

Use of cookies

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent along with pages of the website. Your browser then stores it on your computer’s hard disk. Inter alia, this lets use combine various queries from the website pages and analyse user behaviour. You can refuse to allow these cookies to be used, although that can impact the functionality and ease of use of the website.

Our website uses certain services from Google, such as Google Analytics, that may utilise cookies and other techniques to record information about how users use the website. Google passes the information that is obtained this way, including the address of your computer (its IP address), through to their servers in the United States on which it is also stored.

Google uses this information to keep track of how our website is used, to let reports be generated for us about the website and to provide information to its advertisers about the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google may provide that information to third parties if legally required to do so, or insofar as third parties process that information on behalf of Google. We have no control over this.

Third-party websites

This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites that are associated with this website through links. We cannot guarantee that these third parties will handle your personal data confidentially or safely. We therefore recommend that you read the privacy statements of such websites before using them.
